She began her career when she released her English speaking record, Unison in 1990 that propelled her to fame in America and other English speaking parts of the world. In 2002 the album, A New Day Has Come, was released and reached the top spot in over 17 countries. In 2012 her French speaking album, Sans Attendre was released and achieved Diamond status in its native France. In 2014 Dion sadly announced a postponement of her Las Vegas residency and Asia Tour, because of her husband's poor health.
